Learning to use essential oils includes learning ways to cleanse your body, especially your liver. Join our free training program when you enroll in Young Living Essential Oils and you will receive free training cd’s with each order, free quarterly magazines, the opportunity to attend local/regional/national training seminars, as well as tele-conferences and webinars. Very complete training because we want you to learn to use therapeutic grade essential oils to rebuild and maintain your family’s good strong health.

To begin cleaning your liver, you must first unburden it. Use these tips for the whole family, children included.

  • Reduce the toxic load - stop using chemicals, breathing chemicals, eating chemicals
  • Eat moderately. The worst thing you can do for your liver is overeat regularly.
  • Rest your liver by fasting once a week, or so.

To begin your liver’s make-over, you must realize it will take 2 years or so. Be committed to clean up the toxic waste and sludge. Will you do that? Alright, change your diet to include the foods that will build your liver and will recondition it.

There are many programs for cleansing your liver, but I’m only going to share one with you. It’s basic and to the point. It will get the job done. I know this because my skin used to be bronzed orange all year round. People thought I was deeply tanned, even living in the NW corner of Montana, where we have seven month winters, with many sunless days. I learned to cleanse my liver with YL supplements and oils and my skin is white today.

My skin used to be orange and now is white.

My skin used to be orange and now is white.

At this point, I’m simply going to list our Young Living supplements and oils that I used to cleanse my liver. They are very effective, and I recommend them to you 100%. They not only work for adults, but also for children.

Juva Power and ComfortTone support healthy liver and colon function, while Detoxzyme enhances digestion. This kit also contains the Re-JUVA-nate Your Health booklet and an audio CD and cassette, in which Gary Young explains the Re-JUVA-nate Cleansing Program.)
  • 5 Day Nutritive Cleanse (This nutritive cleanse includes the following: Ningxia Red, an energizing, replenishing, whole wolfberry nutrient infusion (1 liter ); Balance Complete, a super-food-based, daily, superfood energizer and nutritive cleanse (26.4 oz.); Digest + cleanse, which soothes gastrointestinal discomfort and supports healthy digestion ( 30 softgels ).
  • JuvaCleanse (oil blend) Ingredients: Helichrysum, Ledum, and Celery seed.

  • JuvaSpice (a delicious blend of powdered vegetables) How to use: Sprinkle 1 gram (approximately 1/3-1/2 teaspoon) on food (i.e., baked potato, salad, rice, eggs, etc.) or add to 4-8 oz. purified water or rice/almond milk and drink.
  • JuvaTone (A powerful herbal complex designed to promote healthy liver function. It is an excellent source of choline, a nutrient that is vital for proper liver function and necessary for those with high protein diets. JuvaTone also contains inositol and dl-methionine, which help with the body’s normal excretion functions. Methionine also helps recycle glutathione, a natural antioxidant crucial for normal liver function. Other ingredients include Oregon grape root, a source of the liver-supporting compound berberine, and therapeutic-grade essential oils to enhance overall effectiveness.)

To make use of these therapeutic grade, medicinal quality, liver-purging, health-giving products that I so highly recommend, go to Young Living Essential Oils. Bipolar People and Depressed People MUST Have a Clean Liver

Posted by Dianne Hansen | November 15, 2008.

Your liver is on a schedule. It tries to conduct housekeeping during the wee hours of the morning, between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. The Organ Clock shows how all the organs take turns with each other, trying to keep your body clean and in good working order.

It’s crucial for everyone, but especially bipolar people of all ages and all people influenced by depression… to have clean livers. Why? Because so many emotions are seated in the liver. Literally. In the DNA of the fat cells of your liver, are many memories, traumatic imprints of memories, and emotions like anger or rage. The liver is the ANCHOR of all emotions; it processes the chemical reactions of all your emotions. You can conclude then, that those with manic depression or bipolar tendencies have livers that are full…brimming over with traumatic memories and stored emotional responses.

Symptoms of Liver Overload or Toxicity:

  • Overweight; inability to lose weight
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Loss of appetite
  • Poor digestion, coated tongue, bad breath
  • Abdominal swelling, bloating, excessive gas, heartburn, reflux
  • Constipation; diarrhea; Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Allergies to foods, chemicals
  • Sugar cravings
  • Poor protein utilization
  • Excessive alcohol intake
  • Nausea
  • Environmental sensitivity, chemical intolerance
  • Skin blemishes, discolorations
  • Yellow to orange skin; or yellow to orange eyeballs
  • Itching
  • Chemical intolerance
  • Dark colored urine
  • Hormonal imbalance; low sex drive, impotence
  • Recurring colds, fevers and mucous
  • Excessive body heat
  • Allergies
  • Sluggish metabolism
  • Irritability
  • Sleep disorders; insomnia
  • Frequent, continued and general fatigue
  • Frequent headaches, migraines
  • Hepatitis
  • Gall stones; gallbladder problems
  • Fatty liver
  • Liver cancer
  • Low immune response; overburdened immune system
  • Diminished eyesight
  • Poor memory
  • Mental fatigue
  • Premature aging
  • Premature graying
  • Depression, unpleasant moods, mood swings, behavior swings or bipolar disorder; anger
  • …And many more

MORE than 33 million Americans, 65 and older are being treated for clinical depression. Think how many people of all ages are being treated!

What to do?

Clean up that liver…yes, it CAN be done and it should be done if you want to leave old baggage behind and move forward…more lightheartedness, more hope, more groundedness. You may not have heard that your liver could be made clean and fresh again, but I’ll walk you through the procedure anyway. Make this an important part of your bipolar treatment plan, and you’ll be surprised at your health’s progress.

  • Eat particular foods that build your liver’s strength: A long list of specific foods I put together for you.
  • Use Young Living Essential Oils and supplements to purge your liver over a period of at least 2 years. Our liver cleansing products generally begin with “juva”. “Juva” means “liver”.
  • Get plenty of sleep; avoid stress.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Eat moderately.

More detail to follow… It’s a big commitment for you to get clean!

  • Bipolar Sleep Apnea and Sleeping Habits - How to Change

Posted by Dianne Hansen | November 14, 2008.

People with bipolar tendencies, people who have severe mood swings; whether men, women, or children…often have trouble sleeping at night. Many resort to sleeping aids in the form of drugs. Certain parts of the drugs are then stored in your body, helping form a toxic waste site. Toxic waste sites make you restless at night and further complicate your sleeping patterns.

Others resort to machinery to alter their sleep patterns.

If I can show you a way to gain more sleep every night, without the use of special machinery or drugs, will you be interested? Are you a person who prefers the more natural route to deep, refreshing sleep? And are you willing to do whatever it takes? Spend as much time as it takes? Clean up your toxic waste sites?

Alright then, I’ll consent to be your teacher…(smiling).

I’ll walk you through a bedtime scenario that I’m quite familiar with and you decide what to do from there.

  • Spend an hour or two quietly unwinding at home before bedtime. Enjoy your loved one(s).
  • Bathe or shower in warm water and talk to God about your day. Tell Him what you’re thinking. Move toward Him in your mind.
  • Finish bathing, dry off, moisurize your face, and begin applying essential oils to your spinal area (hopefully you’ll have a loved one nearby to help). If you can’t reach your whole spine (high neckbones all the way down to tailbone), apply the oils to the bottoms of your feet and to your legs.
  • Use Palo Santo along your spine. This oil comes from the rich, jungle soil of Ecuador, farmed ecologically by the local people under our (Young Living Essential Oil) direction. It is a pain reliever and it works deeply to relax and heal your spine components.
  • Place Basil on your knees and calves and ankles; it will relax your muscles and allow you to sleep. I recommend using a mixing oil, like V-6 from Young Living, to help spread your oils around. It makes your oils go farther. Ahhh, smell the combination starting to form!
  • If you’ve had digestive troubles today, rub a few drops of Peppermint, along with V-6 Mixing Oil on your stomach and intestinal areas. The Peppermint oil will help your digestion; and you can drink water with Peppermint in it, during the day.
  • For all people troubled by sleep apnea, and most bipolar people are, I recommend Peppermint oil on the edges of the pillow case and under your nose. Sleep on your side instead of your back.
  • It’s good to vary the oils you use from time to time, so try substituting Lavender oil on the pillow case some nights. Lavender has been used to influence sleep for millenia.
  • My last recommendation as far as this short article is concerned, is the YL blend Peace and Calming. You will find it terrifically soothing and delightful to smell.

That’s the bedtime scenario. At another time, I’ll teach you the daytime regimen for cleansing your body, namely your liver. Please realize, that if you can’t get to sleep until 12:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., you’ve probably got an overflowing liver…a dirty liver…toxic to the max. If you wake up between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., the same thing is true; your liver is so dirty, it’s waking you up at night. Your liver is trying to clean itself. More later…

Exciting News: Aromatherapy Reduces the Need for Bipolar Drugs

Posted by Dianne Hansen | November 11, 2008.

In Europe, the use of aromatherapy in hospitals, nursing homes, and medical facilities of all types is commonplace. In the United States, little by little, we are waking up to the beneficial and therapeutic uses for essential oils in the health care industry. In fact, there are now more than a few nursing homes employing Young Living Essential Oils in the private rooms, the public sitting rooms, and the dining areas. I want you to know that run-of-the-mill aromatherapy oils don’t have these effects. Please be aware of that!

One specific nursing home is using 14 diffusers throughout the building, and I will quote their results here. Lavender for behavior control is common; and lavender oil for the promotion of sleep is also common. Peppermint, on the other hand, is used for improved alertness. Peace & Calming (blend from Young Living) is used for behavior control. Lemon (which kills e coli) is diffused also for infection control; Purification (YL blend) and Thieves (YL blend) are powerful and used alternately with Lemon for intense infection control.

For residents with difficult behavioral issues, Lavender or Peace & Calming are diffused in their independent rooms. Peppermint, 10-15 drops, is diffused in the recreation room while residents are having an activity. Lavender (10-15 drops) is diffused in lunch areas or the tv room in the afternoon between 2-4 p.m.

Simple aromatherapy (if the oils used are YL oils, therapeutic in quality, highest in world-wide AFNOR standard) enables all people, including bipolar people, to come down off anti-depressants, anti-psychotic meds, anti-anxiety meds, anti-hypnotic drugs. The nursing home in the spotlight here, kept record of the number of residents able to decrease their meds or discontinue them altogether. Between January and March 2008, 7 residents decreased their anti-psychotic drugs, 9 came off altogether; 3 reduced their anti-anxiety meds, 4 came off altogether; 4 reduced the dosage of their anti-depressants; 3 discontinued their anti-depressants.

Young Living Essential Oils can play an important part in reducing the use of psychotropic drugs for bipolar people of all ages, and others involved with antidepressants and related medications. We want YOU to experiment in your home and office situations. Diffuse our beneficial essential oils and see the results for yourself, not only for calming emotions and attitudes, but also for protection from illness. Kill germs in the workplace; keep everybody well during the winter cold and flu season; Affect the lives of your family and/or your co-workers and see how well they appreciate the help! Hint: the blend called “Thieves” has a Christmas smell and is extremely antimicrobial…

Teach Your Bipolar Children that Words DO Matter

Posted by Dianne Hansen | November 9, 2008.
It's the traditional season for thanksgiving.

It's the traditional season for thanksgiving.

Words and expressions of hope or excitement or affirmation have always been known to be important. Deep in our hearts we know that all words matter. All words have power to make you feel tall or make you sink right into your shoes. That’s the way it is with children and adults, people of all ages and sizes; and that’s the way it is with self-talk too. Self-talk matters…the words we say to ourselves.

Traditionally, in America, it’s the season to consider thankfulness. It’s a great season for you to start making an issue of the words your bipolar child may be speaking. If you haven’t already, begin to give them object lessons showing how important it is to speak well (not only of others) of themselves. Words matter, words carry power. Potent and harmful curses sometimes come in small packages.

Some bipolar people get into the bad habit of cursing themselves or calling themselves stupid…and worse. The danger is they might just hear themselves speaking self-abusively and take it to heart. That would be a tragedy! Never let them believe the worst about themselves. Encourage their hope, their positive mindset, their gratefulness for life and excitement for fulfillment.

Words are really important and you must teach your children to respect themselves, care for themselves and treat others the same. It’s what makes the world go around…respect and love; and God knows we need some good vibes in that realm!

Do your part: teach your bipolar children that words DO matter; teach some positive self-talk.

  • I feel happy, Mama.
  • I’m so smart!
  • God made me just right.
  • I can solve this problem. Help me, please.
  • Things are going to be OK.
  • I’m ready for my test.
  • I’ll do my best.
  • They like me.
  • I like them.
  • I choose to be brave.
