People with bipolar tendencies, people who have severe mood swings; whether men, women, or children…often have trouble sleeping at night. Many resort to sleeping aids in the form of drugs. Certain parts of the drugs are then stored in your body, helping form a toxic waste site. Toxic waste sites make you restless at night and further complicate your sleeping patterns.
Others resort to machinery to alter their sleep patterns.
If I can show you a way to gain more sleep every night, without the use of special machinery or drugs, will you be interested? Are you a person who prefers the more natural route to deep, refreshing sleep? And are you willing to do whatever it takes? Spend as much time as it takes? Clean up your toxic waste sites?
Alright then, I’ll consent to be your teacher…(smiling).
I’ll walk you through a bedtime scenario that I’m quite familiar with and you decide what to do from there.
Spend an hour or two quietly unwinding at home before bedtime. Enjoy your loved one(s).
Bathe or shower in warm water and talk to God about your day. Tell Him what you’re thinking. Move toward Him in your mind.
Finish bathing, dry off, moisurize your face, and begin applying essential oils to your spinal area (hopefully you’ll have a loved one nearby to help). If you can’t reach your whole spine (high neckbones all the way down to tailbone), apply the oils to the bottoms of your feet and to your legs.
Use Palo Santo along your spine. This oil comes from the rich, jungle soil of Ecuador, farmed ecologically by the local people under our (Young Living Essential Oil) direction. It is a pain reliever and it works deeply to relax and heal your spine components.
Place Basil on your knees and calves and ankles; it will relax your muscles and allow you to sleep. I recommend using a mixing oil, like V-6 from Young Living, to help spread your oils around. It makes your oils go farther. Ahhh, smell the combination starting to form!
If you’ve had digestive troubles today, rub a few drops of Peppermint, along with V-6 Mixing Oil on your stomach and intestinal areas. The Peppermint oil will help your digestion; and you can drink water with Peppermint in it, during the day.
For all people troubled by sleep apnea, and most bipolar people are, I recommend Peppermint oil on the edges of the pillow case and under your nose. Sleep on your side instead of your back.
It’s good to vary the oils you use from time to time, so try substituting Lavender oil on the pillow case some nights. Lavender has been used to influence sleep for millenia.
My last recommendation as far as this short article is concerned, is the YL blend Peace and Calming. You will find it terrifically soothing and delightful to smell. That’s the bedtime scenario. At another time, I’ll teach you the daytime regimen for cleansing your body, namely your liver. Please realize, that if you can’t get to sleep until 12:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., you’ve probably got an overflowing liver…a dirty liver…toxic to the max. If you wake up between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., the same thing is true; your liver is so dirty, it’s waking you up at night. Your liver is trying to clean itself. More later…

very interesting post, thanks for sharing.
Dianne, I like much of what you are saying in the short article. However, sleep apnea is a very serious condition and everyone who has symptoms should see a doctor!
Once sleep apnea is treated by a qualified M.D., then it might be nice to try some of your techniques for relaxing.
