Bipolar People: Gold Is the Color

“Gold is the color of the morning sun
That shines so freely an every one.
It’s the sun above that keeps us warm.
It’s the Son of love that calms the storm…
That can give us life that can make us grow…

Those lyrics were written decades ago as part of The Coloring Song by Dave Eden. Dave once played the SKIPPER on Gilligan’s Island! He’s one of those old but eternally young Jesus freaks and lives in the Dallas area with his family.

Dave was the drummer of the 70’s pioneer Jesus rock group “E” (or “E-Band”) out of Indianapolis. ”The Coloring Song” became  a hit back  in the 1980’s through the influence of the group Petra.

We highly recommend you get in contact with Dave Eden if you live in the Dallas area or if you have an interest in his work. He’s been a pastor, billboard artist, sign painter, cartoonist & singer/songwriter, and once portrayed the Skipper in a play about Gilligan’s Island. Currently, he is bi-vocational, He’s a children’s missionary to churches and is self-employed in his own business Eden Signs & Murals.

The Eden’s non-profit JCU Ministries, Inc. offers family/children’s resources of music, Bible studies, cartoon booklets and Dave’s creative outreach to kids, teachers and kid’s rooms called KIDWISE.
