Mercury Poisoning and Bipolar Disorder

Posted by David B. and Dianne Hansen | January 29, 2010 .

Mercury poisoning raised its ugly little head again today. The number one cause of mercury poisoning is amalgam fillings in the teeth. They are up to 55% mercury.

I had a whole bunch of really big ones in all of my molars. Caps too! All of my molars and wisdom teeth are gone now because of the effects of mercury poisoning.

Because I can’t tolerate appliances in my mouth, I do all of my chewing with my front teeth – the right canines in particular. I chipped and cracked the lower, which still had a mercury filling. I went to a particular Dentist who lives 140 miles away to have the filling replaced and the crack bonded as safely and as non-toxic as possible. Though we took the usual precautions in removal, Dr. Roosma and I were both affected negatively by the mercury that is off-gassed during the drilling away of the old filling. (Dr. Roosma is located in Hot Springs, Montana, and we highly recommend him.)

I have before me a list of 124 symptoms of mercury poisoning which is incomplete compared to other lists I have seen. I woke up (VERY slowly) this morning with evidence of many of these symptoms which affect psychological and behavioral, cardiovascular, digestive, immune, oral cavity, central nervous, endocrine, skin, and energy systems. Enough to keep me from playing my beloved racquetball today!

We can supply this list, if you like. The ADA (American Dental Association) admits to 12 of the 124 symptoms on it.

Other major mercury culprits are mining, cement and cement products, most pharmaceuticals and vaccines, and nearly all plastics – from the soda and water bottles you drink out of to the dash and door panels of your vehicle. You can find out more about these bad boys by contacting John Costa, mercury poisoning guru and bipolar person himself.

The effects of other heavy metals like aluminum, lead, and cadmium (all of which affect me and quite possible YOU too) – are parallel to mercury in causing damage. These toxins are much more common than we are led to believe.

It is well known that mercury will first store in the kidney, second in the liver, third in the neurological tissue, fourth in the GI tract, and the rest of your tissue as is most convenient. Dr. Hal Huggins has taught us that a man’s semen is contaminated strongly with mercury. My system is too far gone for that to affect me, but it should be of great interest to those who are still having families or have sons that are approaching puberty.

Bones and connective tissue are the hardest to clean with chelation of metals. Mercury is VERY hard to remove from any tissue. I am almost 62 years old and according to Dr. Huggins, I still have mercury in my system that was accumulated when I was in high school. How is YOUR mercury reserve?
